Of  late I have been thinking of attempting the Cabbage Soup Diet.  I had heard about it but never really read on it because I was just imaginning eating tonnes of cabbage.  The other day I decided to read on it, and it does not sound really bad.  Of course, it is one of those lose weight quick diets, you know what they say about those, your weight comes back on as fast as you lost it.  But, I think it would be a great way to jump start a diet!!  I looked at the cabbage soup recipe, and it is doable.  and you get to eat lots of fruit and during the last days you can have  almost too much steak.  Well, what have I lose? weight? right?  There are many versions though but I am attempting the original version.  I’ll keep you updated.

  1. I actually like the soup. I have never done the full diet, but I make a huge batch of the soup once a year or so… Jim gets sick of eating it for lunch and dinner for days on end, but you’re right, it is a good jumpstart for a diet. You can’t go wrong with all those veggies! It freezes well, too so, if you get tired of it, you can freeze it for a quick and easy go to meal some night. Can’t wait to hear your opinion once you try it. I usually add more veggies to the original recipe and some tobasco sauce (not too much) to give it some more flavor.
