Move that bus!

I do not really watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition because it ALWAYS makes me cry…but there is one episode I am looking forward to. (It airs sometime in May)  Ty Pennington is in town and tomorrow everybody will be screaming…MOVE THAT BUS! tomorrow.  I really wanna go but I cannot leave my kids behind and I am just worried that I will lose my kids in the process if I go with them because I bet EVERYBODY will be there.  It has been an exciting week here, seeing a house being build in one week!   And the little boy is the sweetest boy ever.  The family so deserves that house.

From yesterday’s auditions, there is hope that American Idol might be coming to town too!  Lauren Alaina moved on!  Wow!  I wish her the best, she can sing…if she makes it to the top, I know who I am voting for.

Last night I ditched my old loving purple cell phone and replaced it with a smart phone.  I have had my old loving purple cell phone for 3 years and it has served me well.  I was told that these cell phones are build to last your two years contract and then they start to disintergrate, but mine is still alive and kicking.  Unfortunately, I have to ditch it 😦  I must confess that the smart phone is a little too smart for me.  The guide is a little too short for me.  I stayed up late, trying to figure out how to work the phone since I had already disable my old loving purple cell phone.

In one weeks time I will be running a half -marathon my FIRST HALF-MARATHON, crazy, isn’t it?  I cannot believe it.  I do love races, I try to run one a month, but I usually register on the morning of the race.    This race does sell out and they do not allow race day registration.  After my running  buddy started to get worried that she might run the half by herself, I went and registered.  Now I am all nervous, I cannot imagine running for 2.5 hours non-stop (that is my goal, to finish in at least 2.5hours)!  I need to load up my ipod…I need to start reading about pre-race diet and all that crap!  I need to get myself psychologically ready…

I need to finish my assignments now…

Topic: What would you tell yourself 10 years ago?

This is an interesting question, it goes on to say, if you could go back in time and have a 5 minute conversation with yourself ten years ago, what would you say?  I got married 10 years ago (2000), so I would definately say, Grace, you are doing the right thing by agreeing to marry Sila 🙂

10 years ago, I would tell myself, Grace, please go to graduate school right now, this year, then you will not have to worry about it 10 years later (but I could not afford it then and I did not know what I wanted to study)

10 years ago, I was working for an organization called AIM and it was a great job, lots of learning experiences.  I do not think I would say much to myself then about that job!

10 years ago, the year 2001 was an interesting year, I would tell myself, please enjoy thoroughly your first year of marriage thoroughly!

I guess 10 years ago, there was no facebook and so I had real friends!

Where were you and what were you doing 10 years ago?

Topic:Have you ever lied about your age? Why?

I have never had reason to lie about my age, but at the same time, I do not volunteer my age. I remember when I was turning 25, my younger brother who was a teenager then, told me “You are so old!” and that day, I did feel really old. When I went to basic training, I was one of the older ones and I did feel old but I never lied about my age. I guess you reach a certain age that it does not matter anymore. I guess next year is the big deal birthday, then I will stop counting…:-)
