I cannot believe it has been that long since I wrote a post. Life has been moving so fast I cannot believe it is almost October. I have been a good girl and I have been training for the 10K! It is in 2.5 weeks and I can’t wait! For once i think I will be able to do it in good time (for me) Soccer for the kids has been challenging. Somehow both games are at the same time and since we can’t be at both games, we just alternate. This year, I am a laid back soccer mom, just watching the drama from the sidelines. I started a group run for ladies on saturday morning and it is indeed a learning process! I actually started it as part of a class project and it has definately kicked my training up a notch. We meet at a hilly track! I am so grateful for the ladies who have committed to wake up so early on saturday morning. The internship has been another learning experience but we will leave that for the internship report. So far, so good! I hope you are all doing good, keep looking up!

I need a ‘dislike’ button

I officially dislike election season.
I dislike the way it makes people who are nice on a good day suddenly become so mean and hateful.
I dislike the way people judge you because you do not belong to their party.
I dislike the lies that become status’, the lies that get shared, the lies that get posted and reposted and the lies that get liked.
I dislike it that every election season has some friend casualities.
I officially dislike election season.

Week 8 of 12

I bet you are wondering what the countdown is to…well, I had hoped that I would be able to maybe run a half marathon this year and so I started the countdown. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I got the internship of my dreams and I go to work from 8 to 4.30pm, have soccer practice 3 times a week and so I do not have any time during the week to log the miles that I need to train for a half marathon. But all is not lost, I am participating in a 10K mid next month so I am still going out there to train 🙂
Tomorrow will be my 3rd BG race, it is a 5K to raise money for glasses for people who cannot afford them. I am disappointed that in two weeks, I only managed to run three times, but I am still going to give it my all.
Happy Labor day and stay safe!
