I love Mandazis. They come in all shapes and sizes. If you have been to Kenya and have never had Mandazis, then this is an open invitation to you to come on over and have some with hot chai. If you have been and have been wondering how to make them, I have the recipe for you. I have to confess that I did google and most of the recipes were the same though they called for different quantities of ingredients. Here is what I decided to go by:
2 cups white flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 egg (beaten)
2 Tbl of butter (melted)
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 tsp tea masala or ginger or even all spice
Vegetable or Canola oil to fry
