Z is for Zoo!

I am so looking forward to visiting the National zoo sometime soon (sooner than the coming of Jesus Christ)  Can you imagine, 2000 animals!! and the best part about it is that it is free admission!  You pay for parking though!  Have you been to the National Zoo?

today is the last day of the A to Z challenge.  It has been nice blogging through the month of April! I hope you enjoyed reading my blog posts!  I enjoyed reading yours and I hope you catch up every Monday.  Happy May everyone!  Keep looking up!

Y – Yogurt

The yogurt that I eat here not only has a different spelling but has a different consistency. The yogurt that I used to partake of, was basically liquid. It had the consistency of a milkshake and you drank it. I was surprised to find I had to use a spoon to ‘eat’ yogurt. Yoplait is my favorite regular yogurt and Fage Greek yogurt is my greek yogurt.

I remember it like it was yesterday, but I was only in first grade! It had to be first grade because small pox was declared ‘eradicated’ by WHO in 1977 (don’t quote me on that)
It was a normal school day. We then went to morning assembly. The teachers then came and one by one, we were asked to show our left hand and the teacher would examine it. We did not know what they were looking for. We were then separated depending on what they saw on our arm. Kinda like sheep and goats. We then stood in a line and waited. Then these people came, and headed for our line. One by one, took our left arm, pricked the upper arm several times with the needle. yes, and that is how I got my small pox vaccine!

T is for TEN!

I bet you are wondering why I have a picture of detergent! It is because I have ten of them. I am pretty sure you can never have enough detergent so when I get them for stock up price, I pretty much stock up.

T is for TEN!

Ten years ago I was working for AIM International Services in the Personnel department, there was never a dull day! I was very married and life was good.

Ten days ago, this time, was Spring break for the kids and we were lazing around (I am paying for it big time with lots of homework to do)

Ten hours ago, I was running 3 miles.

Ten minutes ago, I was wondering what topic to write for this post and the letter T.

Is there another brand of oatmeal? Quaker is so strong a brand! I love oatmeal!

Have you ever been to a Quack doctor? I think I have and lived to tell the story. My Dad’s sister was getting married and I had to travel overnight to the wedding. I had to go by bus and when I reached the next day, I had a stiff-neck. So, I was taken to this doctor, who gave me a shot??? for a stiff neck! After that, my ailments multiplied. The injection site pained forever, as in my aunty had kids and I was still suffering from pain! Does that doctor qualify to be called a Quack?
