Are you Allergic to anything? When I go to the doctor and I am filling in those forms, I always write NKO because I do not think I am Allergic to anything. I know people are Allergic to cats, medicines, soap, some foods, lotion, you name it! I think one of my kids is Allergic to something that Zagbys uses, maybe their cooking oil. We went there twice and on both times, they broke out in a rush after eating their food so we stopped going there.
Today was my first full day at my new ‘job’ and one of my workmates asked me if I was tired and I was like…NO!! I went back home and crashed. Was watching that show where lottery winners buy homes and fell asleep. I am not sure why I was watching, I am not winning the lottery soon because I do not buy lottery tickets. These people’s lives change in a minute but I wonder how some of them maintain those humongous houses they are buying, I am just asking, #nothating.
have a great weekend and thanks for reading.

New Day!

Today I officially started the last part of the exciting journey! I have asked God for this opportunity for the longest time. A dream of mine is coming true It all started when I started working as an Aide in a middle school in Kentucky. I loved it so much. Through that whole experience, I realized that I could help kiddos become better students and do well in subjects like Math. (who knew!) Then I moved to IL and I got a tuition-free opportunity. The Lord does work in mysterious ways. I remember I was a little mad that I would not be able to go to a school I liked in KY (which I would have had to pay for) and then He opened this door. I am excited and nervous! I get to teach accounting and other subjects to high school students. I am trusting the Lord. Do not give up on your dreams. #dreamscometrue Keep the faith and thanks for reading.

Goals, resolutions, words, whatever you call them! I know many people say that they do not make resolutions because they break them before Valentin!e’s day! That should not stop you from trying! At least they haunt you every other day and you might try and do something about it. I have a few simple goals for 2018! The first one that I have shared with my family is to lose 50 pounds. Yes, I have always known I was overweight and although I do not freak out about it, I think about it one or two times a day…especially when you see pictures of yourself and you are like? wow! just wow! What am I doing to myself? I was doing great last year and then I had the mishap! I had injury and did not go out running for 4 months. That really set me back a few, okay, a lot of pounds. I am happy to report that I am not great and ready to tame this beast (yes, the beast comes in many forms)! They say that the goals have to be smart. Specific – lose 50 pounds, Measurable – lose 50 pounds in one year Achievable – I think one year means about a pound a week. I think that is reasonable – which brings me to realistic – I think losing 50 pounds in one year is as realistic as it is gonna get. I am going to be running and eating a healthy diet (it becomes a little fuzzy here but I will share my diet plans soon) I am not trying for one of those loose 10 pounds in one week (and then get it back)and finally Timely – I would like to post next year on this date that I lost 50 pounds!! I know people have different meanings for the SMART acronym but this is what works for me. Do you have any goals to share? Keep looking up!IMG_6654
