Yay! First Visitor!

image Today we received our first visitor! yay! We were so excited to see Jim, he came by to say karibu from our new church with some goodies! How awesome!
Today was a day of no unpacking, decided to go shopping and it was crazy! I decided to go back home using the interstate and for some reason my GPS got confused and I found myself heading towards Nashville. At least I got to see Franklin, which is 15 miles away from Bowling Green, how fun!
I hope you all have a merry Christmas and a happy new year, I am going to check out for awhile!

What a super lazy saturday, I did not even go running which means I woke up after 10am. Not good! To make up for it, I went visiting Rachel’s blog, Rachel, the gourmet country girl lives up to her name. Her recipes are gourmet and easy to follow and they work! I decided to try her pretzels recipe. Those pretzels came out soft and yummy! Who needs frozen pretzel anymore? I added cheese on mine and the kids wanted cinammon and sugar on theirs! I also used her pizza crust recipe! Rachel, you rock! I can honestly say my day was made.

FB part two!

Did you find your FB personality in my first post?  Never fear!  There is more from where that came from.

The next personality that I have encountered are the “News Anchor”  The news anchors know EVERYTHING that is happening when it happens.  If you don’t have time to sit by the TV and watch some boring news?  You are in luck.  Check their status.  They will let you know which famous person has died or what just happened in Africa.  They probably do not work for a news organization.

There is another personality that I do not have a name for…once in awhile they make me feel guilty…just a little.  Every week they have these words in their status’ “Put this as your status for …. hours… I know most of you won’t.”  How many causes can one person have? Enough said!

Then there are the whiners…they basically do not appreciate ANYTHING!  They complain about EVERYTHING!  men, women, their job, walmart, their car, their professor, everything sucks all the time!

Don’t get me wrong, I love facebook and I love my facebook friends.  I confess that once in a while I am a lurker, I go in and just check what is happening with my friends that I have not seen or heard from in a while.  I appreciate the ‘news anchor’ once in a while.

Have a great weekend!

Facebook personalities!

Facebook had killed my blog at some point, then I joined dailypost wordpress to give me blogging motivation. But let’s face it, facebook is addictive and we find ourselves spending more time on facebook than we would care to admit or we want to.

So, today I went reading about facebook personalities and I came across Brandon Griggs’  list of the  most annoying types of facebookers.  This list just describes it all!  I admit that I am one or more of the personalities, and my new year resolution, is to stop! Right!

Do you have a friend who when you meet in the church or at work they tell you that they like your profile picture, or they ask you about your kid who just went to kindergarten or they ask you how your brother is doing? and you wonder how they knew that stuff?  In the CNN article, he is called the  lurker!  They go through your status’, your photos, your posts, your wall but they NEVER comment on anything!!  Are you one of those?

Then CNN lists the self-promoter!  that is totally me!  I want you to know how many miles I ran and how many times  I ran and how many races I have done this year and intend to do, LOL!   The self-promoter links everything (my blog) to their achievements, anything they do, they brag about it! ha!

Then comes, “let me tell you everything I did, I am doing and I intend to do”  this facebooker trends on your facebook every day, every night!  Every other status belongs to this facebooker. If an hour passes without a status update from them, you get worried!  I always wonder what they did before facebook!!

Then the facebooker who shares way too much personal info!  yes, we do not want to know what you went to buy at CVS and what you are using it for!  Wow! Thanks for sharing…too much information.

Attention seekers facebooker, always seeking attention.  Once in a while, it is okay to let us know that you are having a bad day and you could use some prayers and it is totally okay to share genuine bad news that you need prayers for.  but honestly, at times the posts are so manipulative!

Any facebook personality you can think of?   I still have more for tomorrow!  Keep it here!
